On Sunday, May 6, we welcomed the youth farmers and their coordinator Ibrahim from Gardening the Community, in Springfield, MA. Together we moved the chickens to fresh pasture, learning about sustainable meat as we worked. We cooked up a delicious lunch of pasta and vegetables, then shared our slide show and trapeze fun. We finished the afternoon with a game developed by the Food Project that illustrates how racism and classism play out in the Food System. We had a wonderful time and especially enjoyed the relaxed and curious nature of the group. Thank you!
